About Us

About Four Seasons Care Home

We are a small town business which operates primarily by means of word of mouth and reputation. We purchased the business in June of 2015. We are not a “typical” long term care facility. We pride ourselves on maintaining a warm and homey environment. We want all of our residents - as well as staff - to be treated with the utmost respect and compassion.

Our administration is hands-on and wear many hats. Payroll, accounts receivable, maintenance, laundry, cooking, dishes, admissions, social services, nursing, hiring, staff education, transportation… we do it all. We will never ask any of our staff to do something that we won’t do ourselves. We want all of our resident’s, as well as their family members, to be truly satisfied with the services provided. If for some reason they are not, we welcome feedback to improve our services.

Our clientele historically has catered to low-income, blue collar, retiree’s and the disabled. Why? Because in Vermont, they otherwise live on the street or they are in/out of hospitals. Did you know that the average cost for someone requiring residential care residency, is roughly $5,000 per month? That’s $60,000 for 1 year! Of the 123 licensed residential care homes in the state of Vermont, we are 1 of 32 homes that will accept Medicaid-only reimbursement. This means that we admit individuals receiving supplemental security income, whose annual Social Security checks total $9,580.56.

There are many places throughout the state that are far more luxurious and have far more amenities, then we have to offer. That being said, as soon as you can no longer afford those places, you will be looking for us. We do what we do here at FSCH because it’s who we are. We feel very strongly that everyone deserves the privilege to be cared for, taken care of and loved, regardless of how much money they have. Contact us today with any questions you might have.
